Stephen Minsters are lay-people who have a burden for others in crisis
Stephen Ministers are selected, trained and supervised to build healthy relationships with the care receivers assigned to them. These relationships have good boundaries and a safe, confidential environment.
Once selected as a good candidate, Ministers go through 50 hours of training before they are ready to give care to a Receiver. After the initial instruction, there is ongoing training through regularly scheduled meetings with your Stephen Ministry Support Team.
You would be a good candidate if you desire to:
- Explore Feelings
- Share Christ's love
- Maintain confidentiality
- Give care but understand ultimately God will produce the results He desires
- Be a companion and know sometimes that is all that is required
- Commit to the training time as well as weekly meetings with your care receiver
Apply today to be come a Stephen Minister.
Once you submit your application, you will be contacted by the Stephen Ministry Team Leader for the next step.
